Affording a Seabury Education

Seabury School offers tuition assistance to qualifying students based on need and available funds. Assistance is awarded only after a student has been offered admission to Seabury. We contract with School & Student Services (SSS) to help in the qualification process. After reviewing your application they provide us with a recommendation of an aid award. Our Financial Aid committee then meets to review the aid application using the aid application, SSS recommendation and a copy or your current tax return. Aid is granted up to a maximum of 50% of tuition.

To apply for aid, visit solutionsbysss.com to complete and submit an aid application.

Fund raising is a necessity for independent schools. Financial support for the Seabury program is derived from tuition, the auction, and an annual fund solicitation. Families are expected to contribute to both the auction and annual fund to the best of their ability. Your expertise, time and resources are investments in our students. Please get involved in the classroom, on committees, and by attending school events.Only through the active financial commitment of Seabury families and friends can the school sustain its educational excellence.

Much of Seabury’s strength reflects the interest and involvement of parents and extended family members. The annual, mandatory 20 hours of volunteer service (per family) contributes significantly to every kind of school activity. A vital sense of "community" impacts the breadth and depth of our entire offering.

Seabury’s middle school program is laptop-based. Students use laptops for class work and research, to keep track of assignments and email, and for a variety of media and applications in their Technology and Integrated Arts program.

Middle school students are required to own their laptop computer. Seabury provides students with competitive prices for the Dell Latitude Laptop package required for the program. The package includes a full, three year, “bumper to bumper” warranty for the laptop, which complies with all of Seabury’s technology requirements. The warranty included with this system covers all repairs and replacement parts, and if repairs are required, the technician is able to work on the laptop at the middle school campus during the school day. Microsoft Office Home and Business comes installed on the computers which are configured by Seabury’s IT director for student use. No other software is required for student laptops. - all other software used in the program is free and open source.

Once your student enrolls in the middle school, the business office will order the laptop for your child. You will be billed for the computer as part of your monthly statement to be paid in one installment or up to three installments. If you have questions, please contact the Seabury Business Office.
