The Admissions Process at Seabury

Just like Seabury's academic program, the application process is focused on the whole child. Through a mindful process, our admissions staff gets to know you and your child.
In addition to basic information, our application includes several open-ended questions about your child's development, interests, and aptitudes.
As part of the admission process in typical years, we ask that you and your child come and visit during the school day. We ask that potential students attend class for all or part of a school day. This gives our teachers an opportunity to get to know the child, and the child to experience what it's like going to school at Seabury.
Beginning with students entering kindergarten, cognitive testing administered by a licensed psychologist gives the admissions team another view into your child's strengths and interests. More on testing
Rather than basing acceptance decisions simply on quantitative data, our admissions process gives our team the ability to consider the individual needs of your child.
