Who: 6th through 9th graders
Cost: $225 each week
What is yeast? What does baking powder do? Why are croissants flaky? Although such a staple of our diets, the process of making delicious baked goods can seem like a mystery! Let's dive into the mixing bowl together to unravel some of these mysteries and learn how to create truly delicious bakes. From the science of "how baking works," to learning how to make some great bakes, to taking beautiful photos of our edible art before we devour it, let's get baking! The first session will cover beginning bakes, including cookies and quick breads. The second will move into more advanced recipes, such as pastries and breads. Students ARE NOT required to have taken Session 1, to enroll in Session 2.
