Learn about native vs. invasive plants and animals. How do native plants and animal help the environment? How do invasive species damage it? Learn how to identify noxious weeds. Learn about the importance of bees in our ecosystem. Make posters to promote the benefits of natives. Plant seedlings to take home. Travel to the Native Plant Garden at Point Defiance Park.

Water is Life

Explore the role of water as a precious resource. Track pollution cleanup efforts in Puget Sound. Learn about local Orca populations. Walk Pacific Avenue to explore some of the city's rain gardens, then design a rain garden for your backyard. Perform experiments that answer the question "can you live underwater?" Design an underwater living prototype in Seabury's MakerSpace – and more!
