Mathemagic is a day of math tips, tricks, challenges, games and fun for students who love math and are eager for the chance to challenge themselves.  This fast-paced day will be filled with challenges and activities including Rubik's Cube mastery, math games, tessellations and other math art, a walk to discover math all around us, the Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Ratio, strategies to solve logic and math puzzles. 

Choose either the morning or afternoon session for a half-day of activities, or the full day option at a discounted price.  Challenges and activities are designed for students at all levels of math ability. 

Rubik's Cube Challenge 

12:30-3:30 p.m.

Grades 6-8; $65

Mathematicians have long been fascinated by the challenge of the Rubik’s cube.  For students who are still learning how to solve the puzzle of the cube or who want to solve it faster.  Explore Rubik’s Cube art, try different kinds of cubes, and hang out with other Rubik’s cube fans.  Taught by Seabury Middle School’s own Rubik’s cube master and math teacher, Jared McKenzie.     

 * Students staying for full day will have a supervised lunch/recess.
