Mosaic Magic
When: Aug. 5-9; 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Who: 5th through 9th graders
Cost: $310
Mosaic is an art form, where a surface is covered by small tiles or pieces of glass that fit closely together. These pieces can create awesome geometric designs – and even pictures. We'll learn about the history of this art form and study some contemporary mosaic artists, including Antoni Gaudi, Sonia King and Isaiah Zagar. We'll learn safety techniques for cutting and working with glass. And we'll design and make our own mosaics!
