Bugs for Breakfast

Do you love learning about bugs? Are you an adventurous eater? Are you curious about the kinds of things people around the world eat? More than 2 billion people around the world eat insects on a regular basis. Learn about bug farming, nutrition, taste several types of food quality insects and make your own cricket powder cookies. About one in every four people around the world eats insects or arachnids. It’s a practice called entomophagy. This camp will help participants learn about regional insect specialties and traditions, the powerful nutritional punch packed into a tiny bug, and the environmental advantages of choosing insects over traditional protein sources.
