A mind-expanding infusion of art & math! Visit Tacoma Art Museum & Museum of Glass, then apply principles of balance, perspective & unbounded creativity to create personal masterpieces. Using Seabury's Theater District location as a launching point, students and instructors will use Pierce Transit's light rail to travel to the museums. A stop at Tinkertopia for additional inspiration and unique materials is part of the creative adventure. The afternoons will be spent in Seabury's Design Studio, where students will combine principles of math and engineering with creativity and design to produce three dimensional artworks. Seabury's middle school faculty members have been using the city as their classroom for more than 10 years. We're excited to share some of our favorite places of learning and inspiration.
