You will rockA good word to describe the science fair is exciting. At first you wait in line a long time then it gets better. You sign in then you get a tree and a goody bag. There’s lots of people and you’re assigned a certain place to sit. Once you find your place then you set your board up and roam around for a while before the head of the science fair announces that the children should get to their boards. You should always bring a book or something because as soon as the announcer says adults please clear the floor the judges come out. There is a lot of tension because the judges skip around and you’re scared they will come to you. But if they do just be calm and you will rock. Sometimes more than one judge comes over but it's fine. My favorite part is when you can come in to the auditorium and there are lots of tables set with cool mind boggling games. There’s also a performance about math or science that’s always pretty fun. Then they start to announce the award winners. They start with the special awards then go by grade. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. Once the person announcing calls your name for 1st place you walk up to the stage with a huge smile on our face. You stand for pictures, and then you come down from the stage for congratulations! |
