The Admissions Process Overview
Just like Seabury's academic program, the application process is focused on the whole child. Through a mindful process, our admissions staff will get to know you and your child.
In addition to basic information, our application includes several open-ended questions about your child's development, interests, and aptitudes.
As part of the admission process, we will invite you and your family to schedule a tour of the campus with us during the school day. We also ask that potential students schedule a class visit, when they will attend class for all or part of a school day. Class visits give our teachers an opportunity to get to know your child, and your child gets an idea of what it's like going to school at Seabury.
Beginning with students entering kindergarten, cognitive assessments administered by a licensed psychologist give the admissions team another view into your child's strengths and interests. We do not have a specific metric students must achieve on a cognitive evaluation to enroll at Seabury; rather than basing acceptance decisions on cognitive assessments alone, our whole-child focused admissions process gives our team the ability to consider the individual needs of your child.
